The Kalamata Municipal Conservatory returns to its musical wanderings with a "Small Winter Journey" where the "Musics of the World" festival meets the Kalamata Guitar Festival and the "International Kalamata Music Days Festival".
Four concerts, three masterclasses and a music-education seminar from February 15th to February 18th will provide the city's lively audience with an unforgettable four-day event!
Beginning on Saturday, February 15th with a "guitar recital" by Dimitris Kotronakis at the Studio of Kalamata Concert Hall at 9pm in collaboration with the 9th Kalamata Guitar Festival. (General admission fee 5 euros)
Then again on Sunday, February 16th at the Studio of Kalamata Concert Hall, at 8pm, "The Life and Love of a Woman" will lead us from the erotic renaissance to of 20th century eclecticism with soprano Katerina Palaiologou and pianist Yiannis Aeriniotis (General admission fee 5 euros)
On Monday, February 17th, again, at the Studio of Kalamata Concert Hall, at 8pm, we will be delighted to host three major musicians on a surprise night with Yiannos Margaziotis playing the violin, Ai Motohashi playing the piano and Contra Tenoros Nikos Spanos. (General admission fee 5 euros)
Finally, on Tuesday, February 18th, at 19:00 in the Concert Hall of the Kalamata Municipal Conservatory, students selected from the Young Talents School of the Music School of Amsterdam will meet with the students of the Kalamata Municipal Conservatory musically. (Admission free)
Simultaneously, on Sunday, February 16th, a guitar masterclass with Dimitris Kotronakis, a seminar of music kinetics with Vassilis Anagnostou and the 3-day masterclass of violin and piano with Yiannos Margaziotis and Alexia Mouza will be held...
The "Musics of the World" cycle is being organized by the Municipal Conservatory of Kalamata for the fifth consecutive year and aims to "embrace" all kinds of musical expression, from Tradition to Jazz and Classicism to Contemporary Creation.
This year's cycle is dedicated to poetry, speech and music.
The artistic direction of the circle has been taken over by Katerina Palaiologou.
