On Thursday, June 2, at the historic hall Parnassus, three projects will be presented for the first time in Greece (Dixit Dominus, Nisi Dominus & Laudate pueri Dominum) for quintet choir, 2 oboes (only in the 3rd work ) and soloists, that GF Händel composed in Rome in 1707 , just 22 years old , based on the Psalms 109 , 126 & 112 about the battalion of the monastery of Karmelitisson. Despite his young age, Händel with these projects shows great compositional maturity and complete assimilation of the early Italian Baroque which dominated the musical reality of the 18th century. These projects remain unknown to this day in the Greek public due to the extremely complex choral writing, which tests the skills of the musicians, but also to the very demanding coordination with orchestra.
